The program is a four-week menu cycle and complies with USDA standards as well as the School Breakfast Program, National School Lunch Program and the After School Snack Program. Educational posters and nutritional values outlining the various meal patterns and components are displayed for the students to encourage healthy decisions.
Our Wellness Policy
Youth For Tomorrow provides each resident a daily diet (7 days per week) that consists of three nutritionally balanced meals, after school snack and an evening snack; includes an adequate variety and quantity of food for the age of the resident, and meets the USDA Guidelines and Federal Standards. The Policy promotes educational awareness and outlines the nutritional values and portion control to help promote self-confidence, self-reflection and self-improvement to help in better decision making. While education is critical to learn portion controls and nutritional values, YFT also offers music and art therapy as well as physical & outdoor recreational activities to maintain fit mental and physical health.
