Our services are designed to meet the needs of clients and families from diverse backgrounds who may benefit from outpatient assessment and treatment. We diagnose and treat children, adolescents and adults with a wide variety of issues including but not limited to: depression, anxiety and panic symptoms, post-traumatic stress, anger issues, obsessive-compulsive issues, grief and loss, self-harm, issues related to attachment, co-occurring disorders, aggression, attention deficits and other behavioral concerns, as well as familial and relational issues.

We provide behavioral health services with professional excellence, Christian integrity, professional insight, and genuine compassion. Our staff is comprised of therapists with various credentials, backgrounds, trainings, and specialties, so we are able to offer a wide variety of treatment, including play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and behavioral intervention. LPC | Onsite Director & Therapist

I provide both in-person and telehealth therapy services for adolescents ages 12 and older, adults, and older adults throughout Virginia. I especially enjoy working with older adults and clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), mood disorders, low self-esteem, and the many transitions that come with different stages of life - from high school to college, entering adulthood, career changes, and retirement.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults, with a special passion for supporting children and their families. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and know they are not alone. I enjoy supporting clients as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, crisis situations, behavioral challenges, and family dynamics.

Hi! I'm Mayra Cardenas, LPC, CSAC, NCC, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, and National Certified Counselor. I provide both in-person and telehealth therapy services for adolescents ages 12 and older and adults throughout Virginia, with a special passion for working with teens. As a proud member of the Latino community with Bolivian and Salvadoran roots, I especially enjoy connecting with Latino clients and families while creating a space that respects and understands the role culture can play in our experiences, relationships, and mental health.

I provide therapy services to adolescents and adults, creating a warm, welcoming space where clients can show up as their authentic selves without fear of judgment. I believe healing begins when you feel safe, heard, and supported. I enjoy supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). As a U.S. Army veteran, I have a special passion for working with military members, veterans, military families, and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

I offer services in both English and Spanish, and my goal is to create a secure, welcoming space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and strengths-based, incorporating Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and play-based interventions. I tailor therapy to each client's unique strengths and goals while helping them build healthy coping skills, confidence, and resilience.

My journey as a therapist began in Nepal before bringing me to the United States, and my experiences living and working across cultures have shaped the way I understand and connect with the people I serve.
