Standard Counseling Services Include: Individual: This is a one-on-one therapy session between the resident and a clinical staff member. Family Group Therapy: This is comprised of parents/guardians and their child one week and the adults only the following week. This rotation is usually followed with exceptions made depending on topics. Individual Family: Individual family sessions involve the resident, his/her parents and/or guardian and his/her assigned therapist. Anger Management: Through role playing, games, written assignments and more, residents are engaged in an interactive process aimed at understanding how their anger is impacting their lives and those around them. 12/Step - Overcomers’ Group: The purpose is to work through the twelve-step process, discuss chemical dependency issues, see how chemicals have had a destructive impact on their lives, and discover what recovery is, and how to stay in recovery. A.A./N.A. This is a self-run support group held on or off campus. Other groups may be offered depending on group need and may include topics such as Healthy Relationships, Choices, Grief & Loss, etc. Click HERE for a Counseling Staff listing |
