Residential

At Youth For Tomorrow, residential care is provided 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.  With the support of skilled, compassionate House Parent couples in each home—supplemented by support staff, counselors, case managers and faculty members—YFT residents are provided a stable, home-like environment as they progress through the level system as follows:

Orientation – Learn the rules, expectations, and procedures of the Youth For Tomorrow Program

  • Level 1: Behavior - To recognize and maintain appropriate behavior and to modify inappropriate behavior.
  • Level 2: Self-Awareness - Develop an awareness of how your behavior affects you.
  • Level 3: Responsibility and Relationship - Take responsibility for how you behave and who you are; recognize how your actions and behavior impact others.
  • Level 4: Leadership - Develop leadership characteristics that will enable you to become a productive and responsible citizen.
  • Level 5: Summit - Prepare for successful program completion.

“Transition between the levels is based on weekly Evaluation Team meetings to determine that progress is consistent with the child’s Individual Service Plan.  YFT remains committed to the House Parent model of residential care as we have found this to be a most effective approach to teaching boys and girls strong family values that will serve them well in their own adult lives.”
