Testimonials

                                   Recent Testimonials from YFT Residents

"Before arriving at Youth For Tomorrow, I was out every day doing drugs and other criminal activities.  I was always busy trying to get the next high.  I never spent time in school or with my brothers.  Now, I have been here for about one year and I have been drug-free and have gotten my G.E.D.  I know if was at home I couldn't have gotten it.  I know Youth For Tomorrow doesn't get thanks alot.  So I would like to thank everyone that helped make this happen for me and hundreds of other boys and girls.  Thank you."

"I was on the road to destruction before coming to Youth For Tomorrow.  I sold drugs, skipped school, played with guns, had many fist fights and was involved with gangs.  I was disrespectful to my parents, siblings and elders.  Since I have been at YFT, I know I have changed because I no longer have physical confrontations because I have learned how to talk about my problems instead of acting them out.  I have also learned that fighting, being disrespectful and being involved in gangs is not a way to solve my problems.  As for my parents, I am no longer disrespectful and I listen to what they have to say.  Scripture and Youth For Tomorrow has taught me to "honor thy mother and father for thy days should be longer."

"Before I came to Youth For Tomorrow, I used to physically fight with my mother.  I had a bad attitude and did not respect authority figures.  I have changed since coming to YFT because I have learned how to talk out my problems with my mother.  I am working on building a better relationship with my mother with the help of my counselor."
