At Youth For Tomorrow, residential care is provided 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. With the support of skilled, compassionate House Parent couples in each home—supplemented by support staff, counselors, case managers and faculty members—YFT residents are provided a stable, home-like environment as they progress through the level system as follows:
• Level 1 – Orientation. Learn the rules, expectations and procedures
• Level 2 – Self-Awareness. Learn how behavior affects the individual
• Level 3 – Relationships. Learn how individual behavior affects others
• Level 4 – Leadership. Develop skills necessary to become a productive citizen
• Level 5 – Transition. Practical application of concepts learned
|
Transition between the levels is based on the daily accumulation of points with weekly Evaluation Team meetings to determine that progress is consistent with the child’s Individual Service Plan. YFT remains committed to the House Parent model of residential care as we have found this to be a most effective approach to teaching boys and girls strong family values that will serve them well in their own adult lives.
